Martin Silverman was born in North London in 1955. At the age of 17 he overcame Testicular Cancer and went on to have two healthy children. He trained to become an architect but changed direction and entered the world of fashion, where he became a buyer for a prominant high street retailer and through his job travelled to many countries around the world. For the past 16 years he has successfully run his own company. Since his diagnosis of Prostate Cancer, he has embarked on an holistic path of self healing and now tells his inspiring story in the forthcoming book 'The Gift In Me'. He says, " This cancer has truly been a gift. It has been a wake-up call that has brought nothing but positive things into my life and has given me a new sense of purpose which has taken me in a completely different direction." Having recently taken the huge life changing decision to give up everything including his business and livelihood, Martin is currently living in Thailand where he can be fully focused on nothing but his return to health and well being while further studying Nutritional Healing. Martin has spent much of his time giving motivational talks and freely sharing his experiences, helping others who have cancer and who too want to take responsibilty for their own health and healing. While in Thailand, he is posting regular updates on his blog but also answering emails or helping others who contact him for help, advise or inspiration On his return, he plans to devote even more of his time inspiring and helping others on their healing journeys. "My cancer it is not a death sentence. It is a doorway to a better life, a more inward and meaningful life, a more purposeful life."
